Jumpin' on the band wagon
So I did it...I finally decided to jump on the band wagon and learn how to sew. I bought my first ever sewing machine, and I love it. I got the Singer 2932 that comes with 35 built in stitches and a bunch of other really cool features. The best part is, I got it for only 99.00 buckaroos. Yep...it was on sale!!! I will be spending this weekend learning how to run it... Considering that half of my closet contains clothing that I have to alter to fit my short body, I hope you all know what getting a sewing machine means. Finally I will be able to hem up my pants sew down the back cuts of my pencil skirts and hem up the sleeves of my jackets. No more rolling for me:) Wish me luck...because I really have NO idea of what I am doing when it comes to sewing. Thanks mom for helping me pick one out!!!

You'll learn so fast meg, it's a piece of cake, just go slow, step by step. Try a simple pattern first and that will pretty much cover you on all the basics, hemming, zippers, basting, etc. If you need any help let me know, love you
So exciting Megs! I can't wait to see your first projects....beware it's addictive!
when your finished learning to sew, come teach me!! my mom and sister are great at it but i guess i don't have the patience....
Ok- I tried posting a comment and it wouldn't let me. So, I'll try again. I have a sewing machine that I have only used once. I need to learn how to hem because I have a lot of the same problems that you do with clothes. Good luck with sewing...it's an awesome hobby to have!!
Congrats! I love to sew and will have to admit, that I am totaly addicted to it!
