The Blue Carpet Ball

Last week Ashton showed up at my work holding two tickets infront of me to the Blue Carpet Ball. I was so excited! But hey, what girl wouldn't? You get to wear a gorgeous dress, do a cool updo with your hair, and dance, dance, dance. So the day of, I borrowed my little sisters dress (thanks Heather), pinned up all of my curls, and touched up my face from the morning make-up that was still a little present. We went with our friends Matt and Courtney, first to dinner at the Olive Garden, and then headed to the dance. These are some pictures from the parking lot. I was a little sad that you can't really see my hair...I was proud of my success with it!!! Oh, well.

The night was absolutley amazing. Ashton and I haven't dance that much, together, our entire marriage (have you we are going on 2 years this summer:) Thanks Ashton for the best night ever!!!

Swimwear weekend

So I have procrastinated buying a cute modest bathing suite, because, well let's face it, cute and modest don't often go together when you are trying to find a swimsuit. This has left me without a new swimsuit for I think two or three years. Yuck!!! Thankfully this last weekend Cori threw a swimsuit party, that featured clothing by Modbe. It was so fun. Mom and I arrived on Friday night played with Hannah, Carter, and Ethan, watched Juno (such a cute movie-I highly recommend seeing it), and stayed up till two talking. Saturday morning I wanted to get in at least a little bit of a work out before I was about to go and try on swimsuits, so I popped in a Pilates DVD and went to town. Little Hannah, was my Pilates partner for the first 5 min or so until her attention was just about spent. After Pilates the little kids wanted to play air plain, so I had a couple of extra min of exercise:) Overall it was so much fun!!! I picked the cutest swimsuit and got to spend time with Mom, Cori, Hannah, Carter, and Ethan!!! This is the swim suit I picked, I think it has a 50's twist to it.

Ashton I Am So Proud Of You!

For the past two and a half months, Ashton has been studying like crazy for the Fundamentals of Engineering test. The test is 8 hours long, divided into the AM and the PM test, with a one hour break between the two. You start the test at 7:30am and finish at around 5:00pm. At USU you have to take it and pass to be an engineer, along with all of your other course work. The scarries part about this test is that Ashton was taking it a year befor he graduates, which means that he hasn't taken all of the classes that he will be tested on. Oh dear. Any ways, this last saturday he finally took the test!!! Thank goodness that is over! It takes three weeks to get your results back, so we aren't home free yet, but I have absolutely NO doubt in my mind that he passed, because he put in the time and effort needed. I just want him to know how proud I am of him.

Counting Down

Three more weeks of school, and four more weeks until I graduate!!!
That means:
4 more small papers
1 more large paper
1 more final paper
1 more quiz
and that is it...
